Terms of Service

EcoBug provides structural pest control services including general pest, rodent, mosquito, and exclusion/cleanout treatments. We are licensed by the California Structural Pest Control Board. We do not offer termite services.

Services are available in the Bakersfield, CA area. Availability, pricing, and scheduling are subject to change. EcoBug reserves the right to decline or discontinue service to any location at our discretion.

Access to the EcoBug customer portal (ecobug.ai/app) requires authentication via a magic link sent to your email address on file. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current and for all activity associated with your account.

You may not share portal access with others or use another customer's credentials. Notify us immediately at hello@ecobug.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.

EcoBug operates Sunday through Thursday. We do not schedule services on Fridays after sundown or on Saturdays. Appointment times are estimates; actual arrival windows may vary depending on route and conditions.

Cancellations:Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a service fee.

EcoBug uses automated scheduling and routing systems. Service confirmations and reminders are sent via email and/or SMS to customers who have opted in.

Pricing is based on your selected service plan and property size. Current pricing is displayed at ecobug.ai/pricing and in your service agreement. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing customers.

Invoices are generated upon service completion and are due within 30 days unless otherwise agreed. Overdue balances may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month. EcoBug accepts payment via credit/debit card through our secure Stripe integration.

Auto-pay enrollment is optional and can be managed through your customer portal. You may cancel auto-pay at any time by updating your payment settings or contacting us.

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages from EcoBug including service reminders, technician updates, and support replies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.

EcoBug uses AI technology to help respond to common customer inquiries via chat and SMS. AI responses are based on your account information and general pest control knowledge. AI responses are reviewed by EcoBug staff and do not constitute professional advice beyond the scope of our services.

EcoBug is not liable for errors or omissions in AI-generated responses. If you have an urgent service issue, please contact us directly at hello@ecobug.ai.

By scheduling service, you grant EcoBug technicians permission to access the exterior of your property on the scheduled service date. For interior treatments, a responsible adult (18+) must be present unless otherwise arranged in advance.

You agree to disclose any known hazards on the property (aggressive animals, unstable structures, etc.) prior to service. EcoBug is not liable for damage caused by undisclosed hazards.

If you are not satisfied with a treatment, contact us within 30 days and we will return to re-treat the affected areas at no additional charge. This re-service guarantee applies to the specific pests treated and does not cover new infestations or pests not included in your plan.

EcoBug does not guarantee the elimination of all pests. Pest control effectiveness depends on environmental conditions, customer cooperation (e.g., addressing moisture or sanitation issues), and the severity of the infestation.

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, EcoBug's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

EcoBug is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages including lost profits, property damage unrelated to our services, or claims arising from customer-provided inaccurate information.

EcoBug carries general liability insurance and is licensed and bonded as required by the California Structural Pest Control Board.

The EcoBug name, logo, website content, and software are the intellectual property of EcoBug, Inc. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Kern County, California. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify active customers of material changes via email or SMS at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
